Unity Through Love (Psalm 133:1-3, Ephesians 4:1-3, Hebrews 13:1)

Tommy BoringTommy Boring, November 25, 2012
Part of the True Worship series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

The love of God has to be larger than us. Be peace makers amongst each other. Brotherly love goes beyond words. Our purposes are simply temporal, God's purpose is eternal. Who in your life simply gets on your nerves? God knows when you're faking and not. Brotherly love is holy, made up of lowliness, meekness, longsuffering and it is required for worship. If you are not right with your brother than you are unable to worship. Being united goes outside the church.

Psalm 133:1-3

1Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! 2It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments; 3As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore. (KJV)

Ephesians 4:1-3

1I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, 2With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; 3Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. (KJV)

Hebrews 13:1

1Let brotherly love continue. (KJV)
