By Him
Colossians 1:15-23 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
It’s by you or anything else that you will get to Heaven. It’s only by Him, Jesus Christ. You will either go His way or you won’t go at all. Who is He? He is the image of the invisible God. Jesus didn’t just exist when He was first born unto Mary & Joseph. Jesus was with God in the beginning. Jesus is the reflection of God. When we look at a pool of water we might see the reflection of the moon. It proves that there is a real object. He is the first born of every creature. Everything that is a part of us and everything that we know was started with Jesus. It is by Jesus Christ that we have ALL things. Christ is the creator of the creature. All of these things we know that there had to be a creator. All of these things we see we can’t deny that there was a designer. If Jesus Christ is the creator of all things and He created you, then who do you belong to? We are all accountable to our creator and must yield to Him. In the beginning there was nothing and He created something from nothing. When He created it He called everything good. It wasn’t until humans sinned that it became bad. Not only did He create it but He continues it. So far, everyday the sun rises and the sun sets. At any given point during the day or night we never think about making our hearts to beat, and yet it continues to beat. Grass as simple as it is, He makes it grow. No one planted the grass on the high mountains. No one is watering it or fertilizing it and yet it grows. The church is kept going by Him. He is the head of the body. We are NOT the head, we are the body. No Christ in the church, no power in the church. Christ made the church and put the body together. He has reconciled all things for Himself. Jesus loves us. We are just a part of His creation and yet He chose humans to give a living soul to. Everything that He created fist came from Him. Trees. In order to have a tree one must have a seed. In order to have a seed one must have a tree. Either way, who made the tree or seed? It wasn’t by accident that these things came to be. The gospel is very simple. Believe in Christ and you shall be saved. If you’ve found any other way, you’re lost and going to Hell. The Bible is simple, if it’s wrong, it’s wrong; if it’s right, it’s right. It hasn’t changed nor will it change.

Condemnation
John 3:16-19 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
The word condemnation is the action of condemning someone to a sentence. Now God does not condemn. The sentence of death, condemnation, was given with Adam and Eve. The single most simplest law was not to eat of one single tree. Both Adam and Eve broke this law and therefore were sentenced for being guilty. That condemnation was death. We are already under condemnation due to the sin that we live in. The sin of Adam and Eve was just the first one. Jesus did not come to condemn the world but to save it. Our own sin separates us from Jesus. John 3:17, those that believe in Jesus is saved but those that do not believe are lost, condemned. Many look at religion as a form of condemnation. People do not have to work at condemnation because they were born into it. One must be saved from the condemnation of death. Others get confused with conviction and condemnation. Conviction is when God points out the sin that has been made against God. Conviction is God reminding you that you must live Holy. People are convicted of all kinds of sins. Anything that in violation of God is a sin. Noah God spoke to Noah because God searched all others and their hearts were evil. As we know the story, God told Noah that a flood was coming and he was to prepare. For 120 years Noah invited all those he passed. All of those people ignored Noah and yet God still had grace. God created a way out, a way of escape. Sodom and Gomorrah God told Abraham that he was going to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah. Abraham began to pray about saving them and God would come back and say He would save them. God is NOT trying to place condemnation because it’s already been placed. They saved only a few from the destruction but it wasn’t because of not being warned first. 2 Peter 2, God wants the drug addict to be saved. God sent His ONLY son to suffer and be sacrificed because He loved us. God wants each person to be saved from certain death. The condemnation is that light has come into the world, but people love darkness over that light. God will come to you, you can’t just go out and search for Him. He does the inviting, it’s not the other way around with salvation. The law is not the condemnation. It’s only a rule that’s set for our safety. The condemnation is the love of the evil. In the story of the woman that the Pharisees brought before Jesus. This woman clearly broke the law and was guilty beyond guilt. Now Jesus simply proved to them that they ALL were sinners, they’d ALL broke the law. Now if God purpose is to condemn or hate, then why did Jesus not just slaw them all? He proved to them and to her that her own kind were the condemners. Man wants to condemn man and we bring justification for that condemnation. Jesus had every opportunity to say to her that He condemned her but He didn’t do that. He didn’t say that the law was wrong or to do away with the law. On the cross there were 2 thieves. One of them gave Jesus a hard time. The other felt conviction and knew that he deserved what he was getting. He then asked Jesus to remember him on his death. So while Jesus was dying on the cross, He still loved and saved. His last action on earth was to save a man. God does not hate you. He’s trying to save you. When He calls you name, knocks on your hearts door, answer Him. Ask Him to come in. In the end at your death the lost will say amen to their own condemnation. THEIR OWN condemnation, not Gods.

The Blood That Speaks
Hebrews 12:18-29 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Now in the law during Moses’ time, the Jews had so many tradition and rituals that had to do in order to be one with Christ. But, when Christ came and died on that cross, those rituals were done away with instantly. Now still to this day folks still get caught up with rituals and traditions. If these things do not line up with God then they are done in waste and are sinful against God. Mt Zion is the city of the living God. It’s a place where folks when they die in Christ go to after death. It’s spiritual place. Mt Sion was the opposite. It was a earthly place where only the law was there. It was dark, it was terrifying. It rumbled and quaked and couldn’t be touched lest the person was killed. The opposite of this Mount was Mt Zion. One couldn’t touch one but Mt Zion touched you. There is a freedom in Mt Zion, whatever bondage you’re in then seek Christ for you’re release. These mountains were describing the law in Abraham's time versus when Christ came to establish the new way. Christ is the new way, a single covenant, a promise and sacrifice. Verse 24 we find two things. God doesn’t change. God is a consuming fire. God is holy and so is His son. The difference between then and now is the mediator, Jesus Christ. It’s a better way. God hadn’t changed. Do you know that you’re in the better way? The second part is the blood. The veil was opened up thru the sacrifice of Gods only son, Jesus Christ. In this day and time especially during this time, folks that are still working from home are meeting abroad. They are doing this thru different mediums to which you have to have the correct credit I also in order to be in that meeting. If you have the incorrect credentials then you’ll not get in. Just as a lost becomes saved, Jesus bled for those sins and creates a unique credential for a meeting. This meeting can only take place thru Him and His father. In the story of Cain and Abel, when Cain killed his brother Abel, Abel’s blood called out to God. Just in today's time, those babies that are being aborted daily, the blood of them are calling out to God just the same. Now the blood of humans call out to God but the blood of Jesus is different. Jesus’ blood was given up as an offering, a sacrifice. His blood was payment for the sinners sins. His blood said mercy for them all. Not a blood that says they require punishment, but of forgiveness. Did you know that the devil has to have permission to get to a saved person? He has to ask God permission before he can ever get to a saved soul, so if he comes around it’s because God allowed it. However, does that ever happen? If you’ve got the blood of Christ applied then the blood cries out that Satan can’t touch you. You have a protection thru the blood of Christ. Not only does the blood speak to God, but it also speaks to the saved. One should humble themselves. Think about Calvary, the suffering of Jesus Christ the Lord. It reminds us of who we are and that we are not longer a creature of the lost but of the forgiveness of the spiritual nature. There is no other sacrifice to be given. The only blood that was good enough Was Christs’. Jesus was born into this world as a human for one purpose only and that was to become a sacrifice for our sins. Nothing else can take away those sins. Do not refuse Christ when He speaks to you. Confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus. What will you do with the message?

It’s Time We Took a Stand at the Cross
John 19:38-42 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
There are people today that are desperate of Hope. But then there are those that are still trying to figure out who God is. Now is the time that we as Christians need to step out as followers of Christ. We should be taking a stand at the cross. There will come a day that you WILL have to take a stand for Christ. Nicodemus The one verse that we see often and mostly everywhere, John 3:16. Jesus was talking to Nicodemus when this verse was penned. Then there was the time of the Passover in John 3 when he wanted to have a secret meeting with Jesus. Nicodemus knew what he had heard about Jesus, to which Jesus told him without any confusion. Jesus explained to him the plan of salvation, being born again. Then in John 3:14 Jesus told Nicodemus that He must be lifted up. Then in John 7 we see that Nicodemus speaking up and taking sides of Jesus. This was a year later and we see that Nicodemus was defending Jesus and yet was not a believer. In John 8 is the story of the adulterous woman and the trying of Moses law against Jesus. Jesus then turned it around on the Pharisees and showed them in their own way of their own sins. Jesus then saved the woman at the well and told them that when they see the son of man lifted up, then they would know He was the son of man. Now we see in Palm Sunday, the time when Jesus road the donkey into Jerusalem where Nicodemus also lived. This is when Jesus told them that if they didn’t worship then the rocks would. In todays time we often hear that there are many way to Jesus however there is but only one way. Nicodemus followed Jesus thru His entire ministry and yet he wasn’t born again. Jesus on several occasion told many that He be lifted up then they would know He was the son of God. We see in Pilates court that the Pharisees demand Jesus be put to death. At the cross we see Jesus mother, Mary and John. Then Jesus died on that cross, God then hid the sun, the earth began to shake violently. A soldier then proclaimed that Jesus was the son of God. This soldier took a stand at the cross. A man begged for His body and wanted to give Jesus a proper burial. He was granted this event and Joseph went to take Christs body from the cross and yet there were two men already at the cross, one being Nicodemus. He sacrificed at the cross by bring a thousand pounds of ointments for the preparation of Christs burial. Many of people knew nothing up until Jesus was lifted up upon that cross and He was dead. Once Christ was dead their eyes and hearts were opened. These men made a decision to follow Christ even after death and they stepped up to the cross. These men would forever be marked as Christians. Where are you in your walk? Many of folks claim to go to church or know God or Jesus. Easter John 20:1 Mary came to the tomb and she seen that the stone was rolled away. His grave clothes in a pile and the napkin that covered His face was neatly folded and placed where He laid. Mary then was very upset that her master had been stolen. A “man” in the garden asked her who she was looking for. Once this “man” said her name she knew who he was, Jesus. Take a stand at the cross and celebrate our risen savior.

The Voice of God
1 Peter 2:11-15 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
My Civic Responsibility 1 Peter 2:11-15 Heb 1:1-3 The Voice of God Some will confess in times like these they would say they are fearful. But, in every circumstance God is still the same, He never changes. He is faithful, in the good and the bad. Would you ever believe that ALL of the sports would be cancelled? Would you have ever believed that ALL of the school systems would shut down a force the students to learn from home? Hollywood, concert, gathering, churches, schools, colleges..... all shut down. People are not working, they are now at home. Who would believe that anything could shut America down? Have you ever wanted more time with God, children, family? Today you have that opportunity! Who would have ever thought that God could have used something like this virus to bring us out of the mad house and slow us all down. In almost 1 week everything has shut down. Parents now have opportunities to look their children in the eyes and see what’s important. God speaks. The voice of God is clear. At times we have problems hearing Him not because He’s not loud but because we have things blocking our ears. God spoke to Abraham as a friend but Moses heard Him thru a bush and yet other times on a mountain top. Regardless of the time, God has always wanted to speak to man. A still small voice, a donkey, a fire, a cave, God speaks! Now there was a time when God didn’t speak. Think about if God stopped speaking to you. We are bombarded by all kinds of devices as to where we are able to get a message instantaneously from anywhere in the world. Yet the most important message we often find lost within these device or not at all. The question, how does God speak now? If you think the way you need to live is like those in Israel, that is incorrect. God has put most all of us at home. You have more time to hear God speak then you’ve had in years! Don’t miss what God is trying to do and say. God doesn’t live in the panic or the lies of the world and if you’re not careful you’ll find yourself in a panic or caught in the lies. Don’t be controlled by social media or indulge yourselves in the news. You won’t find peace in those things. Immerse yourself in the word of God. Pick it up, read it, study it, live it! The voice of God is the greatest thing you’ll ever experience. Always remember, God never changes!
