Knock, Knock
Revelation 3:20 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Those that have been called of God to preach have an obligation to do His work. It's the responsibility and the authority to preach the Word that is NOT watered down. The preacher can not save a person. The church can not save a person. The Word of God should does not go out in void. Not everyone that attends church is going to Heaven. The enemy is always amongst us all and he does whatever he can to distract you from getting close to God. Titus 2:11, Christ goes out to people, it doesn't work the other way around. A false preaching today is that one can simply call on God whenever the time is right. God does not work on your time but His own. There's not a single person that sits and waits everyday for someone to knock. When God comes to your house He will knock because your house is locked. Some people hide when someone comes knocking unexpectedly because they don't want what's being offered. Just as God comes knocking, He will visit unexpectedly and He waits. He doesn't knock and leave or run away. He knocks and patiently waits. Little children when they get saved their doors are usually not as shut, locked and barricaded because they've not been exposed to Satan's lies and deceit. 2 Peter 3:9, God doesn't want anyone to parish. God doesn't force Himself into your house. He will knock, call your name, patiently wait and do anything spiritually possible to get you to invite Him in. Just as anyone visits someone, they will wait for awhile patiently. One doesn't know how long they will wait or if they will ever come back. God does the same thing. He's standing, waiting but He will not stay there forever. Only YOU can open your door. No one else can open your door but you. One will not open the door until they accept the fact that they want Him to come in. When God is invited in He comes in and cleans house. He brings His own things and removes the old stuff. When the king moves in He will bring love, joy, peace, and all of His other furniture. He'll take all of your old dirty stuff and cast it away never to be used again.
Preached by Tommy Boring on September 2, 2018 (Sunday Morning).
Open the Door
Revelation 3:20 (Part of the Red Top Revival 2016 series).
Firstly, God has come to you. If it was up to you, you'd never find God. Jesus chose to come to earth as a man, He wasn't forced. Eternity is the greatest thing one will ever experience. God already knows that our doors are shut. Strongholds keep your door shut to God. In order for you to be saved, the door must be opened and Jesus must come in. Jesus will not call you by any other name but yours and you'll hear Him in your soul. If you wait till the second coming then you've waited too late. Gods promises are not slack because He's patient. God stands at your door, He will not stay. God only promised He would knock once. God does not work on your schedule. If you've pushed Him away over and over thinking you'll call on Him when you want, you're badly mistaken. So how will you know when He knocks? It's not an audible sound, it's a heart and soul knock. You'll not use the excuse that you didn't know it was God knocking. Not only does God knock but He also calls. What does God sound like? Your ears won't hear Him but your heart will and you'll know. WhenGod knock as and calls you, ?He's not at the wrong address. The worst thing to happen is for God to stop knocking. You're the only one that can open the door, God will not open it. The greatest thing that can happen is that When you open the door God will come in. Gods intent to entering in the door is not for a visit, it's to stay forever. Once He moves in, He'll bring all of His belonging with Him. He will bring, happiness, joy, peace, love, etc.
Preached by Tommy Boring on June 24, 2016 (Revival).
Don't Get Comfortable
Revelation 3:14-22 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
God is the one that deserves all the honor and glory because He is the provider of all things. We get prideful and comfortable in ourselves and slowly stop relying on God. The things we accumulate in this life, money, goods and works will burn up in the end of time. One can't live one way and expect another so when you are teetering between Gods way and the worlds way God will not bless. God blesses us with things to bless others, not to fill our lives with things. So when God blesses with an abundance of food we are not to eat until we can't move. We are to share that food with others. Just the same with money, we are not to be selfish with our money and use it only for ourselves. Bless others by showing them that God loved you, therefore we love them. Someone that is prideful will not humble themselves to others or to God. When was the last time you repented, humbled yourself before God? God is always there and all we have to do is ask Him. It doesn't matter who you are or what you think, there will come a day that you WILL bow before Jesus Christ and worship Him. Whether you want to believe in Him or not in this life, you WILL at your death.
Preached by Matthew Adams on March 16, 2016 (Wednesday).
Gods Not Going to Kick the Door In
Revelation 3:20-22 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
God doesn't beat on the door to get your attention. God will not drag you to the altar. God wants you to open the door, wants you to worship because you love Him. Just because you're a church member doesn't mean that you are automatically going to heaven. Jesus was so stressed and troubled that He sweat drops of blood. They then beat Jesus 99 times and was not recognized. Then they plucked out his beard. They then forced Him to carry a cross through the town upon a hill. At this point they nailed him to the cross in order for him to hang with His own weight. Even in the state that Jesus was in, He still loved the thief next to Him and even those around by saying forgive them. The entire earth knew that Jesus was the Christ. We live in a world today that people will live how they feel what is right in their own eyes. Some say they want some big proof from God that He's real. He has already done that, time and time again. What more do you want Him to do? We should love God with everything in our heart. Why are you here? Why do you serve Him? How long has it been since you've sat with God and communed with Him? God will not force you to worship Him.
Preached by Bruce Whitehead on April 26, 2015 (Sunday Morning).
Gaining Heaven
Revelation 21:10-27 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Heaven is measured equal and so are all of us. In heaven there is no need of a temple or church. Gods glory is the light of heaven therefore there is no need of a sun. There will not be any sin in heaven. We as Christians are in the world but we are not to be a part of the world. The world has some pretty things in it but heaven has Jesus. In heaven there will be no worries. Jesus paid it all, all of the sin he paid. All we have to do is accept it. If heaven was just a place to get away from the cares of the world and to avoid the devil, it would be good enough.
Preached by Ricky Boring on April 19, 2015 (Sunday Evening).
