The year was 1967.  Jerry Garner envisioned creating a southern gospel quartet to sing in local churches.  After speaking with a few friends to fill the remaining 3 voices needed to complete a quartet, the Supernals was born.  Little did Jerry know, he had just began a journey that would continue for 47 years and still be going strong.

The Supernals Quartet is a ministry focused on fulfilling the call of the Great Commission through music.  In the late 1980’s, Mark Garner, Jerry’s son, took the reigns of the ministry’s operations and mission.  From churches scattered across the United States to the stage of the National Quartet Convention, radio, television, and fairs, the Supernals remain steadfast in their mission and message – the desire to see the amazing hand of the Lord touch lives for renewal, forgiveness, and salvation.

In the 47 years of this ministry, the voices may have changed over time.  Some members have gone on to serve the Lord as ministers and church leaders.  Others have ended their journey here on earth to sit by the throne of glory with our Savior as heroes of the faith.  However, the commitment to Christ has never changed or waivered.

Today, the Supernals Quartet consists of Mark Garner, Sherry Garner, Dan Vineyard, and Brett Caldwell.  Completing the Supernals’ ministry operations are Melissa Caldwell and Becky Vineyard.  Together, the Supernals’ desire is to share Christ with all people. Realizing there is so much need in the world today, the Supernals keep moving forward standing in faith, God’s Love, and God’s message.
