Motivated By Love

Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, (love) I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. – 1 Corinthians 13:1

Brass and cymbals can make nice music, but they are worthless to the human heart, but when music has one sole purpose, motivated by one driving force, it can melt hearts of stone, change lives that were once hopeless, and all because this kind of music glorifies God and lifts His Son high so even the most blinded can see Him.

Everything God does is because of his unfathomable love for His creation: Jesus tells us over and over how much He loves us: Then, Jesus teaches us in Luke about loving our neighbors as ourselves, after all, loving one another is the Law of Christ.

The Samaritan in Luke 10 defines who we want to be. There are so many wounded and hurting. I would like to think of our ministry as fulfilling the Law of Christ, that every time we minister we are stopping by to lead the bruised and hopeless to the Healer.

The only way to accomplish our mission is through the anointing of the Holy Ghost. We have determined in our hearts to bring water to the thirsty, manna to the hungry, and healing to the broken.

All we have to do is direct them to a Cross where a Savior died because He loves us, and, hopefully in every service, we will all have our needs met through the power of the Blood He shed there.
